Meet Former Intern - Theresa (McKenzie) Moses

Meet Theresa (McKenzie) Moses

After my time at Meadow Brook ended from the 2011/12 season, I went on to Surflight theatre in Beach Haven, NJ to be the Prop master. I got a chance to work on some theatre classics like "Annie" and "Sound of Music" as well as a few original works making their premier there. This venue gave me the opportunity to be in charge of interns for the first time and allowed me to find how much I enjoyed working with younger people new to the industry. In October of 2012, I went up to C.R. Productions in Cohoes, NY to be the Scenic Artist and Prop Master. The theatre pulled in a lot of talent, both technical and performance, that was a joy to work with and learn from. I also was granted the opportunity to work with a group of high school students as my interns for the school year and greatly enjoyed watching them grow.

At the end of the season, I had been traveling around the country for several years and wanted to settle so I moved back to my home state of Virginia. Once I settled in I started to pursue working towards a career in education but not sure how I wanted to execute that. During this time of career searching, I met my husband, Scott. Fast forward to now and we've been together for 6 years and will have been married for 3 this September. With the arrival of our almost 2 year old, Tommy, I decided to become a stay at home mom. We also just happily added a little girl, Alice, to the mix in July and are in love with your growing family. For the moment, my technical skills are being used to create elaborate projects with my kids but who knows what the future may hold.
