How do I order tickets?
Tickets may be ordered by phone, mail, in person at the Box Office, or online at TicketMaster.com.

What form of payment do you accept?
The Box Office accepts Visa, Mastercard, cash and personal checks with proper identification.  There are additional payment types accepted by Ticketmaster.

Will you mail the tickets that I’ve purchased?
If we have a minimum of 7 mailing days, your tickets will be mailed.  If there is less than the required time, the tickets will be held at the Box Office under the purchasers’ name.

Is there a fee for ordering through the Box Office by phone or mail?
Yes, there is a $7 handling fee for all phone and mail orders.

What time should I arrive?
We suggest that you arrive about 30 minutes prior to showtime, so that you may be comfortably seated before the performance begins.

What if I’m late?
The House Manager will seat late-comers at an appropriate break in the performance, where and when it is least disruptive to other patrons.

What is the recommended form of dress?
Generally, our patrons prefer “dressy casual.”

May I exchange my tickets?
Your single ticket purchases may be exchanged for another performance.  Please call the Box Office to arrange the exchange at least 24 hours prior to the soonest date.  There is a $7 fee per order exchange fee for individually purchased tickets.

Will I get the same seats if I exchange my tickets?
Those seats may have been sold to another patron, but we will look for the very best available seats for the performance you select.

What if I can’t use my tickets?
All sales are final.  There are no cancellations or refunds.  You may give them to a friend or donate them to the theatre as a gift.

How long is the performance?
We generally don’t have the exact running time of a play until it opens, but they are usually about 2-2 1/2 hours including intermission.

Tell me about your seating.
MBT has 19 rows that are all on one floor.  There are 584 seats in our theatre in 3 sections across, center, left and right.  It’s only 57 feet from the front row to the back of the theatre, so that all of our seats afford a good view of the stage.  Our ticket agents will always look for the best available seats for you, but if you have any special needs or preferences, please let us know when placing your order.  Please see the seating chart.

The weather is bad today; will you still have a performance?
MBT very rarely cancels a performance due to difficult weather conditions.   If you are in doubt, please contact the Box Office before you leave home.

Do you have handicapped seating?
Yes, we have handicapped seating.  If a member of your party has need of wheelchair seating, please tell the operator when placing your order.

Will I be able to hear?
Thanks to a generous donation by TCF Bank, we have assistive listening devices available for our patrons with hearing difficulties.  They are available at the Box Office at no charge.

What is a Talk-Back?
A Talk-Back is an opportunity for the audience to meet members of the cast, crew and the director to ask questions or express their opinions.  It takes place a few minutes after the end of 3 preview performances as well as after the first 3 Sunday 2 pm matinees.  Just stay in your seat, ask questions or just listen.  It’s always interesting and informative and usually lasts 10 minutes or so.

Can I bring my children to MBT?
Children under 5 years of age are not permitted in the theatre.  The plays are not directed to children and may be difficult for a young child to sit through or comprehend.  We certainly don’t want your child’s early experiences in the theatre to be uncomfortable or frightening.

What if all the seats have been sold to the performance I wish to attend?
In the event that all seats for a performance have been sold, Standing Room Only tickets will be available at the Box Office one hour prior to showtime. A SRO ticket means that you would stand or sit on the steps at the rear, side of the theatre.  After intermission, you may take any unoccupied seat with the assistance of the House Manager.

I want to give a gift of tickets, but I don’t know what performance to select.
Gift Cards are a great solution.  They’re available at the Box Office in any denomination you’d like!

What are Flex Tix?
Flex Tix are a booklet of 6 prepaid discounted vouchers that may be exchanged at the Box Office for all of our regular season plays (except A Christmas Carol).  They may be redeemed as an even exchange for all performances other than Friday, Saturday, or any 2pm matinee.  By paying the upgrade cost of $2 for a Friday or 2pm matinee, or $5 for a Saturday, you can still save!  Redeem them all for one performance and bring friends, or choose 3 plays for 2 people to attend.  A great alternative to season tickets for your hectic schedule!

What phone number can I leave with the babysitter in case of emergency?
The emergency number is 248-370-3348.  Please leave your seating locations with those who may need to call you.
