Meet the Cast of A Christmas Carol's Past: Cameron Stefanski
/Meet Cameron Stefanski
During my time with A Christmas Carol in ‘06 & ‘07, I got to play various roles such as the Boy Caroler, a Londoner, the Turkey Boy, ensemble in the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come scene (one of the longest yet entertaining scenes I’ve ever been in onstage), and even Dick Wilkins. Though my time with Carol was short, I have vivid memories of the magic that Carol brings to the holiday season, especially for the kiddos in the production. It gave us kids the chance to see into what it is like to be a part of a professional production. Currently, while I’m not onstage in musicals at school or in the community, I study Arts Management (Business Management and Theatre Performance) at Midland University, which is just 25 miles north of Omaha in a small town called Fremont, Nebraska. I’m excited to be graduating this May. In addition, I am so excited to get to direct and choreograph the final main-stage production at Midland, The Drowsy Chaperone. In my free time, I work at local coffee shop as a barista. The last several summers, I have spent my time working as French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts’ Assistant Program Director. French Woods is a children’s performing arts sleep away camp in the Catskills in upstate NY. This spring, I will also be interning at Omaha Performing Arts in their Education Department. My hope for everyone is that they are able to talk about their past, present, and future, regardless of background, when they attend a live performance. Whether that discussion is internal or external, I believe it is a necessity to challenge life’s varying ideologies and wonderments through the theatre.
